The palette

Three layers, like a slice of the earth turned upside down. Grass and moss on top, a band of dirt and coarse dirt on the cliff, then grey stone, andesite, tuff and mossy cobblestone under it: the further down, the greyer and the mossier. On top, three accents that catch the eye: the white calcite and dark slate of the cottage, the pink of the cherry tree, the blue of the water. Lanterns and glow berries add warm light underneath.
