The palette

Red brick (a few darker red nether bricks and mud bricks mixed in) with pale smooth stone quoins for the ground floor and the stair turret, black dark oak timber with brick nogging on the first floor and cream smooth sandstone plaster on the second, a slate roof of tuff bricks and polished tuff. Oxidized copper is the accent: the hoods over the bow window and the oriel, the turret's tip.
